The Alexandria Journal of Agricultural Sciences is published six times a year (February, April, June, August, October, December) by the Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University, Egypt.

The Journal is open to all researchers in Agricultural Sciences and related subjects.

Subscriptions, manuscripts and all editorial correspondences should be addressed by registered mail to the Editor-in-Chief or by  e-mail: alexjar@alexu.edu.eg

Instructions to authors

1.  Publication of the Alexandria Journal of Agricultural Sciences is under the supervision of an Editorial Board appointed by the Faculty Council headed by the Editor-in-Chief.

1. Articles must be original reports on basic or applied research not previously or simultaneously published in any other scientific or technical journal.
2. Papers submitted for publication are forwarded to the Editor-in- Chief, according to the system outlined below.
3. Each research is reviewed by at least two specialized reviewers. The Editorial Board bases its decision for acceptance, revision or rejection of the paper upon the advice of at least two reviewers, whose identities are not disclosed to the authors. Suggestions and criticism of the reviewers, designed to improve the quality of the papers, are communicated to the authors to revise their papers accordingly. [This process costs L.E 100 for the Egyptians and US $ 100 for non- Egyptians].

Editing system

On receiving:

The paper must be submitted in 3 copies, written by a computer or Typewriter (double space between lines, A4 paper size).

After acceptance

• After acceptance for publishing, the paper must be submitted in the final form, as follows:
• Writing on a computer IBM - compatible, using Microsoft office Word.
• Paper size, A4 with written area of 16 x 24 cm.
• Full justification, single space between lines.
• Times New Roman font, size 10 normal for all the paper except:
• Main title (capital letters) and authors' names: size 11 bold.
• Abstract: One column size 9 normal.

Introduction, Results, material, and References

Two columns “Width of each is 7.8cm.”

Arabic summary: Must include authors' names and addresses, written in Simplified Arabic font, size 11.

Note: Keywords must be included at the end of the abstract.

Charges information:

Faculty members:

• Egyptian: L.E. 20 per page, in addition to LE. 200 registration fees.
• Non-members:
  • Egyptians: L.E. 22 per page in addition to 200 LE. registration fees as well as LE 75 for each colored page.
  • Non-Egyptians: US $20 per page in addition to US $ 120 registration fees.         

Each author is allowed to receive 10 reprints in return for LE 60 for Egyptians or US $ 60 for non-Egyptians. Additional reprints could be ordered at LE 15 for Egyptians or US $ 15 for non-Egyptians.

This year's and previous issues could be obtained, printed or on a CD, in return for 40 L.E + 10 L.E mailing costs for Egyptians or US $20 + US $5 mailing costs for non-Egyptians. per copy.

The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright, and to retain publishing rights without any restrictions.
